Although I’m sure that you will be delighted with your purchase, we appreciate that sometimes accidents happen. We aim to make this process as easy as possible for you! Please note these terms do not affect your statutory rights.
Cancelling and changing bookings
- Iceland family trips offers friendly cancellation policies for cancellations related to COVID-19 reasons.
1.1 If you place a booking on Iceland family trips but test positive on arrival to Iceland or if your flight to Iceland is canceled due to COVID-19, you will get a full refund. Alternatively, you can choose to reschedule your trip to another date.
1.2 In order to get the full refund, if you test positive on arrival, please contact us via email with your booking details, full name and your test result within 4 hours after you receive the test result.
1.3 In order to get the full refund, if your flight gets canceled due to COVID, please contact us via email with your booking details and your flight cancellation confirmation prior to your scheduled flight departure time.
- Iceland family trips offers free cancellation of day tours, bundle discount deals, multi-day tours, and car rentals with 24-hour notice.
2.1 You can cancel your booking with Iceland family trips up to 24 hours before departure and receive a full refund. This can be done via the ‘Edit Booking’ button in your electronic voucher email. If you can not cancel or modify your booking, the time to do so has expired. If you can not cancel or modify your booking even though you still have enough advance notice, you can send a cancellation request via email to firstname.lastname@example.org
2.2 In case of partial cancellations, such as an activity portion of a multi-day tour getting canceled by the operator, or a tour layout being changed due to weather conditions or other unforeseen circumstances, a partial refund is due. If an activity is changed, the price difference between activities will be refunded, or a percentage stated by the tour operator as the standard refund due to changes in the program of the tour.
2.3 If a third party operated Multi-Day tour is cancelled due to weather, Iceland family trips is under no obligation to find or pay for accommodation on any cancelled nights. Should the operator himself be unable to assist, Iceland family trip’s staff will be happy to help and give out recommendations if assistance is requested.
- Regarding cancellations due to weather conditions:
3.1 If your tour is canceled by the tour provider due to weather conditions or any other environmental circumstances, you will always receive a full refund. Exempt from this are any rescheduled second tries of tours that have already been serviced as a first departure.
3.2 In the case of a volcanic eruption taking place on Icelandic soil stopping you from getting to Iceland, you will also receive a full refund on all products booked on Iceland family trips. This does not apply if you choose not to visit due to an eruption.
- Regarding cancellations due to sudden illnesses or injuries:
4.1 If you are a subject to a sudden injury or a sudden illness making you unable to participate in a day-tour or a multi-day tour, please send us a ,,Medical Certificate’’ via email signed and sealed by a doctor no less than 24 hours before departure of the tour, for a full refund.
- To cancel or change a booking:
5.1 All cancellations and changes must be made through the voucher that you receive in your email after booking. It will have an edit booking button that allows you to modify and cancel your bookings. After clicking the button you will be taken to a modification page where you can amend your booking details. There will be buttons available both to confirm changes and to cancel your booking. If you can not cancel or modify your booking even though you still have enough advance notice, you can send a cancellation request via email to email@example.com.
5.2 Refunds of past services need to be submitted within 15 days after the completion of the tour/package services. All refund requests must be made through email to firstname.lastname@example.org with the email subject as Refund Request – [Order number]. We do not charge anything for helping you modify day tours, multi-day tours, and car rental bookings as long as the request is made with more than a 24-hour notice but costs can change depending on the new booking details. Please be advised that though we always try our best, due to high demand and low availability, rearrangements are not always possible.
5.3 Please note that changing the number of people in a booking to a smaller number is considered cancellation for the change in the number of pax.
